Each year, ISPN provides an opportunity for its members to apply for an ISPN visiting fellowship. The ISPN financially supports two categories of visiting fellowships: one for training in an ISPN recognized international unit and another one for training in a developing country’s unit.
To be eligible for this fellowship, you need to be professionally involved in pediatric neurosurgery, come from or go to a low or lower-middle income country, be an active ISPN member and not have received any previous ISPN support.
There are two categories of visiting fellowships to apply for:
- Visiting fellowship in an international unit – Supports a trainee from a low- or lower-middle-income country (per World Bank classification) to spend a period of time in an internationally recognized unit to acquire unique experience/surgical technique.
- Visiting fellowship in a developing country’s unit – Supports a trainee from a developed country to spend a period of time in a developing country’s unit to gain knowledge about pediatric neurosurgery conditions not usually seen in developed countries.
The deadline to apply for an ISPN visiting fellowship is 4 September.
