Each year, ISPN provides an opportunity for members to apply for an ISPN visiting fellowship. The ISPN financially supports two categories of visiting fellowships. One is for training in an ISPN recognized international unit and the other for training in a developing country’s unit.
To be eligible for this fellowship, you need to be professionally involved in pediatric neurosurgery, under 35 at the time of the fellowship, come from or go to a low or lower-middle income country, be an active ISPN member and not have received any previous ISPN support.
There are two categories of visiting fellowships to apply for:
- Visiting fellowship in an international unit – Supports a trainee from a low- or lower-middle-income country (per World Bank classification) to spend a period of time in an internationally recognized unit to acquire unique experience/surgical technique.
- Visiting fellowship in a developing country’s unit – Supports a trainee from a developed country to spend a period of time in a developing country’s unit to gain knowledge about pediatric neurosurgery conditions not usually seen in developed countries.
The deadline to apply for an ISPN visiting fellowship is 1 September.
